Batyah Ginzberg has rewritten and reinterpreted the Hebrew Psalms originally written by King David in an effort to achieve an impact on spiritual healing. They have a traditional Jewish orientation. Batyah Ginzberg views HASHEM as gender rich in gender orientation possessing characteristics present universally in both genders and as a non-physical imageless spiritual entity, not a mortal human being or a ghost. The Psalms included are Psalms 78-150.

Psalm 109

For the Leader: A Psalm of BatYAH:

O YAH of my praise, O God: do not keep aloof, for the wicked and deceitful open their mouths against me: they speak to me with lying tongues: They encircle me with words of hate: they attack me without cause: They answer my love with accusations and insults: and I must stand judgment: They repay me with evil for good and hatred and jealousy for my love: Appoint a wicked man over him: may an accuser stand at his right side: may he be tried and convicted: May he be judged and found guilty: May his days be few: May another take over his position: May his children be orphans: His wife a widow: May his children wander from their hovels, begging in search of bread: May his creditor seize all his possessions: May strangers plunder his wealth: May no one show him mercy: May none pity his orphans, may he lose his job and may his children not have grandchildren, may their names be blotted out in the next generation: May YAH be aware of them always and cause their names to be cut off from the earth: Because he was not mindful to act kindly, and he hounded to death the poor and needy man, one crushed in spirit: He loved to curse, may a curse come upon him! He would not bless--may blessings be far from him! May he be clothed in a curse like a garment, may it enter his body like dirty water, his bones like oil: Let it be like the cloak he wraps around him, like the belt he always wears, May YAH my God, thus repay my accusers, all those who speak evil against me: Now You, O God, my YAH, deal with me for Your Name's sake, because Your kindness is good--rescue me! For poor and destitute am I, my heart has died within me: Like a vanishing shadow, I am driven about, I am tossed about like a locust: My knees totter from fasting and my flesh has become lean without fat: And I have become a disgrace to them, they see me and shake their heads: Help me YAH, my God, may You help me and save me according to Your loving-kindness! Let them know that this is Your hand, that You have made it happen: Let them curse, but You will bless: They rose up but they will be shamed--and I, your servant will rejoice! May my adversaries be in humiliation and may they hang their heads in shame: I will thank YAH exceedingly for everything, have gratitude for every little thing and will sing to Her, that She stands at the right of the destitute, to save me from the condemner of my soul:
